We are doing it to raise money for “It’s A Bloke Thing” foundation, a charity that raises money and awareness about prostate cancer. It is a subject that is close to our hearts as we lost a member to it recently. It is a long term project and we are very excited about it.

Members of the shed are busy installing the dust extraction unit that was purchased last year. When completed it will be connected to twelve machines in three sheds and provide a safe workplace for the members.

The electrical connections will be undertaken by J&B Faux Electrical. This installation has been made possible with support from the Heritage Bank. We were fortunate to receive a donation of $7000 from the bank as part of the proceeds of a charity golf day run by the bank in Toowoomba. We also recognise the support given to us by Olympic Spray Booths have assisted with the installation of a spray booth which is nearing completion.

Lionel is managing director of Moore Tailers in Pittsworth and has been a loyal supporter of our shed over the years. He follows in the footsteps of Ros Scotney AOM who has been our patron for the past seven years.
